第1句应为：ilikehimverymuch.

理由：副词very（很）只能置于形容词或副词之前，用以修饰形容词或副词。verymuch（很）才可修饰句中的动词，但通常置于句尾。

例：maryisverybeautiful.（形容词）

（玛丽很美。）

例：davidstudiesveryhard.（副词）

（戴维很用功。）

（很感谢你给我的一切帮助。）

第2句应为：iliketoliveinthecountrysidebecausethereisalotofscenerythere.

理由：scenery是集合名词，不可数，且该词本身表“美景”之意，故beautiful可省略。上句亦可改用可数名词，如下：

iliketoliveinthecountrysidebecausetherearealotofbeautifulviewsthere.

iliketoliveinthecountrysidebecausetherearealotofbeautifulscenesthere.

第3句应为：mr.johnsonpassedawayabouttenyearsago.

=itisabouttenyearssincemr.johnsonpassedaway.

理由：动词die（死亡）或动词词组passaway（过世，与die同义，但语气较委婉）所表示的动作均瞬间完成，所以不能与表示一段时间的副词词组（如forfivedays、forsixmonths、fortenyears）并用，因此原句实际翻译如下：

mr.johnsonhaspassedawayforabouttenyears.（x）

（强森先生每天都过世一次，连续约十年了。）——不合逻辑

由此得知，原句的英语语法是错的。

同理，我们不可造下列的句子：

理由：由于动词married（嫁；娶）所表示的动作瞬间即可完成，故亦不可与表示一段时间的副词词组forthreeyears并用，因此上句实际的翻译为：

（苏珊与彼得每天都结一次婚，连续结了三年。）

因此应改为：

itisthreeyearssincesusanmarriedpeter.

=ithasbeenthreeyearssincesusanmarriedpeter.

=threeyearshavepassedsincesusanmarriedpeter.

（苏珊与彼得结婚已经三年了。）

以上的概念弄清楚之后，我们就不会造出下面这个错误的句子了：

（戴维每天都搬到南宁去，连续三个月了。）

因此应改为：

itisthreemonthssincedavidmovedtonanning.

=ithasbeenthreemonthssincedavidmovedtonanning.

=threemonthshavepassedsincedavidmovedtonanning.

（戴维搬到南宁已有三个月了。）

注意：有些动词所表示的动作可以每天都发生，如live（住）、study（学习）、run（经营；跑）、playbasketball（打篮球）等，这些动词就可与表示一段时间的副词词组并用：

例：ihavelivedinnanningformorethanfiveyears.

（我住在南宁已经五年多了。）

theyoungmanhaslearnedenglishfortenyears.

（这个年轻人学习英语已有十年了。）

mr.lihasrunthissmallrestaurantfortenyears.

（李先生经营这家小餐厅已达十年了。）

（你已经跑了两个小时，现在需要休息一下了。）

第4句应为：althoughjohnhasabadtemper,istilllikehimbecauseofhishonesty.
